BROWNSBURG, Ind. — Alongside temporary restrictions, a two-week full road closure is coming to State Road 267 in Brownsburg, the Indiana Department of Transportation announced on Friday. The short-term closures will begin on or after Monday, Sept. 30. Per INDOT, this will include the use of temporary traffic signals to close one lane at a time, for the purpose of utility relocation. As for the full road closure, those two weeks will be dedicated to a culvert replacement. The official detour will be I-74 to SR 39 to I-65. INDOT said that project will begin on or after Tuesday, Oct. 15 and is expected to end by mid-November. Of course, though, that is weather permitting and subject to change. INDOT also reminded drivers to stay safe while driving and encouraged them to seek alternate routes during the closures. For more information, check out INDOT: West Central's Facebook or X (formerly Twitter) pages.
