TRINITY, N.C. (WGHP) — A Trinity man who pleaded guilty to multiple charges related to his actions during the U.S Capitol insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021, has had one of his charges dismissed. Initially, Bradley Stuart Bennett, of Trinity, was arrested and charged in April 2021 with six counts related to his activities on Jan. 6. Republican voters react to bombshell Mark Robinson report Bennet has since pleaded guilty to the following charges: Entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds Disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds Entering and remaining in the gallery of Congress Disorderly conduct in a Capitol building Parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building Previously, Bennett was also being charged with one count of obstruction of an official proceeding and aiding and abetting. However, that charge is being dismissed without prejudice. His sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 7, 2025.
