FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A Thursday night search for a person who escaped police custody has extended into Friday in Fayetteville, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office says. According to deputies, the person in custody escaped around 9:30 p.m. Thursday night while at the Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Deputies have not publicly identified the subject as they continue their search.
