RODANTHE, NORTH CAROLINA — The ocean has claimed another house in Rodanthe, North Carolina on Friday. This was an unoccupied house at 23001 G A Kohler Court. This is the eighth house collapse on Seashore beaches over the past four years, and the third this year. According to Cape Hatteras National Seashore, “A debris removal contractor, hired by the property owner, is expected to begin cleanup work today.” More homes are being monitored in this area including an adjacent house that sustained damaged because of the Friday collapse. No personal injuries were reported with any of the collapses.
