Baton Rouge Trader Joe's reopens after Hurricane Francine damaged store

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Trader Joe's on Perkins Road has reopened after being closed since Hurricane Francine hit Louisiana on Wednesday, Sept. 11.
A spokesperson confirmed that the grocery store opened on Friday, Sept. 20. According to the website, the location will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Trader Joe's closed due to damage from Hurricane Francine, according to signs posted on the doors by store management. Francine hit the Baton Rouge area as a Tropical Storm and caused damage to parts of the city.
Trader Joe’s is located at 3535 Perkins Road. The grocery store sells fresh produce, dairy and other items such as Mandarin Orange Chicken and Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate.
