Summer weekend before fall arrives Sunday with scattered showers

High pressure east of the region will continue to promote a warm southerly flow, with sunshine and a few scattered clouds. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s, more than 10 degrees above normal.
A weak cold front will bring some cloudiness tonight into Saturday, with spotty showers moving east by afternoon in time for OSU game, with a noontime kickoff temperature of 82 degrees. Later in the afternoon, sunshine will boost readings to near 90.
Clouds will increase on Sunday ahead of a frontal system in the Central states, as moisture pushes north. Temperatures will again rise into the upper 80s. A few showers could reach western Ohio toward evening and spread east into central Ohio overnight and early Monday.
A storm system in the northern Plains will push eastward early next week, bringing the best opportunity for showers and storms in quite some time, followed by a cold front midweek.
