MPD seeks community's help identifying person of interest in deadly Southeast stabbing

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- Police in D.C. are asking for the community's help identifying a man who is a person of interest in a deadly stabbing that happened in Southeast on Sept. 10.
On Tuesday, around 3:40 a.m., officers with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to a crash in the 4600 block of Livingston Road.
There, officers found a vehicle on the sidewalk and 70-year-old Johnathan Reeves, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, lying in the road with stab wounds.
Reeves died at the scene.

As the investigation developed, MPD reviewed surveillance cameras that captured the person of interest walking in the area.
Police encourage anyone who knows the person to call MPD at 202-727-9099 or text 50411. Tips can remain anonymous.
MPD said it is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
