Summer will not go out quietly with temperatures around 90 today and still in the 80s this weekend with the start of astronomical fall beginning on Sunday. Temperatures will top out in the lower 90s this afternoon Under partly cloudy skies temperatures will climb quickly during the morning to the lower 80s by noon. Temperatures will top out to around 90 by late this afternoon under partly cloudy skies. A slim line of showers will try to make it through the extremely dry air sitting across our area tonight under partly cloudy skies. It will be a dry and hot beginning to the weekend on Saturday with more sunshine and a high in the upper 80s. Even though it won't feel like fall temperatures will be in the middle 80s Sunday afternoon with only a slight chance of showers. Showers will become more likely overnight as a powerful front will move through the area during the evening and overnight Sunday into Monday. Our best chance of showers will come Sunday night and Monday It will be much cooler Monday with high temperatures dropping into the 70s but, more importantly, we see a better chance of showers and even some thunderstorms. Fall will begin Sunday morning Showers will continue through the middle of next week with highs in the middle 70s. Temperatures will stay in the 70s through next weekend.
