No Bills football this weekend as Orchard Park hosts the Jaguars for Monday Night Football. While our local weather for the last 10 days or so has been remarkably consistent, this Monday vs. a Sunday game will have implications from a weather standpoint. Sunday looks dry and beautiful. Monday looks wetter. Forecast models are having quite the difficult time resolving a more unsettled pattern next week, and that starts with Monday. A wavy frontal boundary in the vicinity of WNY will likely ignite scattered showers through the day. That part is relatively easy, it's the timing & coverage that remains in doubt. It is still unclear what the pace of that boundary will look like, not to mention whether ripples of enhanced low pressure will ride that boundary and enhance rain chances. For now, we'll set gametime rain chances around 50% with kickoff temperatures in the 60s. Higher resolution guidance will offer more clarity on the specifics. Those will start coming online this weekend. For now, those with tickets should plan on the CHANCE for wet weather while remaining open to the need for us to call an audible on exactly what that chance is during the game itself.
