TRENTON — Doug Palmer’s name is always connected to the Capital City, but soon it will be permanently enshrined on part of the center of city governance. In a unanimous vote Thursday evening, City Council voted to rename the annex at city hall after the former mayor. Former Trenton Mayor Douglas H. Council chambers were packed for a meeting where supporters spoke out in favor of renaming the building. No one at the meeting spoke against honoring the former mayor. Supporters of the renaming have said they wanted to honor Palmer now while he is still alive rather than a posthumous dedication like many building renamings.
