Sheriff: Nashville teen in custody after Southwind High School threats

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A felony warrant has been obtained against a 15-year-old in connection to threats made Wednesday against Southwind High School, Sheriff Floyd Bonner said.
The teen lives in Nashville. Bonner said detectives in Nashville have the teen in custody and are traveling to Memphis to transfer him to juvenile custody.
Threats cause school lockdowns across county
He reportedly made several threatening phone calls to the school Wednesday morning, and posted threats on social media to shoot up the school.
More than 50 deputies responded to Southwind, Bonner said.
MSCS Superintendent, Governor Lee address school threats
A series of threats, which school district officials said began with Southwind but spread to other schools, resulted in a districtwide lockdown Wednesday.
Bonner could not provide details on what connections, if any, the teen had to Southwind or the Memphis area.
