OLATHE, Kan. -- Dave Felshaw has an impressive bobblehead collection. He’s got nearly every bobblehead since Kauffman Stadium started handing them out. “Here we are today with every one of them, got all of them except for one,” Felshaw said. Felshaw is looking for Lorenzo Cain, that's the bobblehead the Royals handed out this year. The Royals started giving away bobbleheads at Kauffman Stadium in 2002. Felshaw's been collecting them for more than 20 years. He got serious about collecting after he saw the bobblehead display in the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame at Kauffman. It housed the hot dog Bobbleheads and several Royals player Bobblehead – and Felshaw was hooked. Now, he owns more than 950 Bobbleheads. “Is it an addiction?” Felshaw asked. He said his favorite bobblehead changes day by day. The 3-foot Salvy Bobblehead goes for about $2,000. Felshaw got it signed last year. He also loves the Mickeys and his completed Slugger collection. Welcome to the City: More Kansas City Royals news on FOX4 “I like the look, I like the sluggers that I have, I like the way they all look together and they're all different, different sizes, different poses, I like the different mickeys that I have from the all-star game in 2010,” Felshaw said. “I guess it's just a desire to complete a collection.” The Bobbleheads have different poses, themes and sizes. Felshaw keeps the collection at his office. “It makes me happy, that's why they're here. It makes my wife happy, that's why they're here,” Felshaw said. “She gets to deal with all the boxes on the porch at times.” Felshaw said another Bobblehead in the running for favorite is Rusty Kuntz, who always has a pick-me-up. “I come into the office every morning and he gives me great advice,” Felshaw said."That a boy," Kuntz Bobblehead said. Lori Neely is the Office Assistant. She checks the mailbox every day and is always looking for a large box that may be another Bobblehead. She said the real homerun is when clients walk into the office and see the set up. Mayor Lucas responds to surge in property, violent crime in Kansas City “Watching their reaction because nobody understands before they walk in the room, what they're about to experience,” Neely said. Felshaw will often make trades to get the right Bobblehead on his shelf. He said these treasures will stay in the family. He has four kids and ten grandchildren, who are already calling dibs. “A lot of them want to fight over which ones get the bobbleheads,” Felshaw said, “So, they'll be in our family for generations.” When Felshaw finishes collecting a bobble head series - it's a win. Now, he's hoping the Royals make the playoffs. “It brings joy to people,” Felshaw said. “I think the main reason I do it, I love when people come and see the collection and they're just happy, they smile, it's what they royals and the chiefs do to our community.” The Royals play Friday night at Kauffman Stadium.
