KINGSBURG, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Police in Kingsburg say a 14-year-old student has been arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center after threatening a school staff member. Police say on Tuesday, the Kingsburg Police Department was informed of a rumor circulating on social media regarding a potential threat to Rafer Johnson Junior High School. According to officials, the School Resource Officer immediately began interviewing and investigating once they were made aware of the threat. The Kingsburg Police Department adds that all threats, whether spoken or written, are treated with the utmost seriousness and investigated. Police also ask that parents speak to their children about making any type of threats towards anyone. They say even statements made out of anger or jokingly can cause fear.
