SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Just as summer comes to an end, rain showers are forecasted for the last few days of the season. A low pressure system is moving across Southern California which will deepen the marine layer overnight and keep temperatures well below seasonal averages. Californians have a new mobile option to store driver’s licenses or state IDs However, as of noon Thursday, clouds had cleared and warm, mild conditions prevailed. Chances of scattered showers return for early Friday morning between 6 and 11 a.m. These will be spotty and mostly showery in nature with accumulation generally less than a tenth of an inch of rain. However, there could be a few spots like in the mountain areas that might experience heavier rain rates at times. Wrap around moisture will happen as the cooler air of the system push through the area Friday.  Drier conditions will take over by Friday evening and through the weekend, and high pressure will start to build. Friday daytime highs will be similar to Thursday's with widespread 70s at beaches and in valleys.
