TOPEKA (KSNT) - Leaders in high school athletics have added more regular-season basketball games across Kansas. Starting in the 2025-26 season, basketball players across the Sunflower State will be allowed to 23 regular-season games. This is an increase from the 20 regular-season games that are currently allowed. This comes after the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday. According to Rule 33, Section 2 Article 5(a-b) in the meeting agenda, in the 2025-26 season, students will be allowed to participate in 23 games during the regular season, including tournaments. Board members passed the vote 36-25.
