PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A company will carry out a reassessment of properties throughout Prince George County, according to an announcement to social media by county officials. Vision Government Solutions, Inc. will be reassessing properties to "ensure accurate valuations," according to the announcement. Field visits began on Tuesday, Sept. 17 and will continue to collect data and verify information. To address concerns expressed by residents, county officials said that all Vision staff will wear yellow safety vests and photo ID badges provided by the county. The badges feature each staff member's name, photo and Vision designation on the front, and the county crest will be on the back. In addition, county officials said Vision staff will use magnetic signs on their vehicles. The workers will be reassessing properties between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. The announcement said that Vision will launch a county-specific website early next week, which will include frequently asked questions, a timeline of activities and other information.
