Man sentenced in Terrytown attempted armed robbery, fatal shooting case

JEFFERSON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Gonzales man has been sentenced after an armed robbery attempt turned fatal in a Terrytown apartment in 2021.
The Office of District Attorney Paul Connick Jr. reported that 22-year-old Myron Lee was sentenced to life in prison plus 89 and a half years on Thursday, Sept. 19.

Court documents state that Lee and 21-year-old Jemond Cador were members of the Louisiana Army National Guard unit.
According to court documents, "Lee recruited cohorts to rob Cador, providing them with firearms and transportation to the West Bank from the Baton Rouge area to carry out the crime."
On Dec. 6, 2021, the district attorney's office reported that Lee kicked in Cador's Terrytown apartment door and got into a fight with Cador in response.
Court documents state that 21-year-old Gerald Little then fatally shot Cador.
According to the district attorney's office, "Little was the only person to discharge a weapon."

On Oct. 18, 2023, Little was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery and was later sentenced to life in prison.
On Sept. 5, a Jefferson Parish jury found Lee guilty of second-degree murder, obstruction of justice and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
On Thursday, Lee was sentenced to life for the murder charge, 40 years for the obstruction of justice charge and 49 and a half years for the conspiracy to commit armed robbery charge.
