LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — The Lafourche Parish Water District #1 issued a boil water advisory for parts of Raceland and St. Charles on Thursday, Sept. 19. The water district reports that the advisory comes in response to low water pressure from a main line leak. As a result, the water in the affected area could be unsafe to use in any context where it could be ingested without boiling it first. Partnership announced to build air quality monitoring system in St. Rose The advisory affects communities between the St. Charles Bridge and the North Raceland Tank, on both sides of Bayou Lafourche. Officials with the City of Thibodaux released a statement specifying that Thibodaux is not effected by the advisory, and the water there is still safe to consume.
