FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) - Fort Wayne Police are investigating after one person was stabbed Thursday on Indiana Tech's campus near downtown. Dispatch confirmed someone is in serious condition after a stabbing outside Warrior Field House, which faces South Anthony Boulevard near Maumee Avenue. It happened around 3 p.m. A K-9 appeared to be searching for something at the scene that afternoon. It's unclear if anyone from the school was involved. Brian Engelhart, vice president for marketing and communication at Indiana Tech, said officials believe the suspect - who fled the scene - was not a student at the university. Police at the scene confirmed to WANE 15 the victim was taken to a hospital and was stable.
