BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – They say music is a language unto itself. Does that apply to all musical instruments? Are they all conveyers of language? You better believe they are. Specifically in the case at hand  – drum beats. The Drumheads – two drummers from the San Jose area who literally wear costume drums on their heads while they raise good natured, kid-friendly havoc on stage – communicate strictly with drums. It’s sort of a Blue Man Group meets Harpo Marx. Lively, danceable musical calisthenics – with no dialog whatsoever. Kentucky judge shot and killed inside courthouse, police say The Drumheads, performing their cartoonish schtick several times a day on the central main stage throughout the Fair, draw a crowd quickly and manage to get people dancing - youngsters, teens, midsters and oldsters. And what motivates the Drumheads to perform lighthearted shows like this? Well, they’re not saying – with their voices. Merely with their enthusiasm.  So the next time you have something really profound to say to a loved one, try an alternate language. Or – not.
