The POD staff make their predictions for the Week 3 slate of games in the NFL. The 2024 NFL season keeps chugging along. Here at Pride of Detroit, our staff has made their picks for not only Thursday night’s game, but the entire slate of Week 3 games. Thursday night’s game between the New England Patriots and New York Jets from East Rutherford gets things started this week, as the division rivals meet on Amazon Prime for “Thursday Night Football” at 8:15 p.m ET. On Sunday, the NFL has 13 games scheduled and the local Detroit audience will have two games to choose from in the early 1 p.m. slot: Houston Texans vs. Minnesota Vikings on CBS, while FOX will be broadcasting the Green Bay Packers vs. Tennessee Titans—a potential revenge game for Packers quarterback Malik Willis against his former team. At 4:25, FOX will have their second game of the day, the Detroit Lions heading to the desert for a matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. A pair of games will take place on Monday night. ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” features a matchup in Orchard Park, NY between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills—kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Over on ABC and ESPN+, the Washington Commanders head to Ohio to take on Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals. As we have done in past seasons, our staff will be making weekly predictions for every game on the NFL schedule.
