A lawsuit says Romero was in a fight when security tried to beak it up one of the security personnel put Romero in a headlock before picking him up and carrying him to the patio. Romero's lawyer says Romero believed he was being jumped and tried to escape. He says security personnel lacked proper identification and the bar failed to provide police with surveillance footage, making Canvas Artistry culpable. The bar denies many of the allegations and says Romero propelled himself over the railing under his own volition. [2] NM lawmakers express frustration over CYFD struggles, turnover rate - CYFD says it has a 28% vacancy rate and a 34% turnover rate. The agency says they have been to 62 career fairs this year, along with outreach at community events. Amid expressing their frustrations on the lack of progress in the agency, a number of lawmakers brought up the possibility of outside oversight over the agency. CYFD Secretary Teresa Casados said she is not opposed to outside oversight but isn’t sure it’s the right move. [4] New Mexico veterans honored in Forgotten Heroes ceremony - 42 New Mexico veterans will be remembered with a public memorial service in Albuquerque on Thursday. They will then be escorted by law enforcement to the Santa Fe National Cemetery, where they will be buried with military honors. The state Department of Veterans Services holds a Forgotten Heroes Funeral each year, providing a military funeral for veterans who are not claimed by family after death.  [5] Albuquerque homeowner wakes up to a raccoon intruder - An Albuquerque woman was woken up to a surprise visitor early Sunday morning. Amy Rosenbaum says she was woken up at 3 a.m., when she went downstairs she found a raccoon who had gotten in through a doggy door. The raccoon helped itself to the dog's food, some water and was resting on the couch. The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish warns raccoons can become more desperate for food and shelter as the temperature begins to drop.
