FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Fall River Superior Court convicted a Plainville man last week for the indecent assault of a woman in a North Attleboro furniture store. David Puccio, 54, of Plainville, was convicted of indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14, and sentenced to serve four-and-a-half to five years in state prison, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office. On Nov. 3rd, 2021, a female sales associate at Raymour and Flanigan in North Attleboro showed the defendant around the store for 45 minutes, when he touched the victims upper thigh and upper buttocks area without her consent with an open palm. Puccio is a level three convicted sex offender that was on probation and wearing an ankle bracelet when the incident took place. Puccio was convicted of indecent assault and battery on a person under aged 14 or older, indecent assault and battery on a person with an intellectual disability, and indecent assault and battery on child under 14 years of age from an incident in 2017, according to the Plainville Police Department. His new sentence will begin following a prior five-year-sentence he began in December 2022 for violating his probation connected to an indecent assault and battery of a child in Norfolk County. “The defendant is a perverted individual, who is a danger to the community,” said District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III. “The victim or anyone else should not have to put up with this depraved behavior. I am pleased that the court sentenced the defendant to the maximum sentence in addition to the sentence he is currently serving. It is well deserved.”   Categories: Massachusetts, News
