TAUNTON, Mass. (WLNE) — Massachusetts State Police and Taunton police are investigating a homicide that occurred just after midnight, according to the office of Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III. Police responded to 351 Lothrop Street at approximately 12:25 a.m. Thursday after receiving a 911 call about a person being shot inside the mobile home. Khamitri Cole, 17, of Brockton was pronounced deceased at the scene at 12:45 a.m. by first responders. An 18-year-old man from Holyoke, Mass. was also shot during the incident and transported himself to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
