MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A woman accused of setting a man up to be carjacked and shot outside of a Frayser Elementary school back in July has now been arrested. Chanderrica Palmer, 20, is charged with criminal attempt first-degree murder, carjacking, and two counts of possession of a firearm/commission of a felony. Woman accused of stealing $19k from employer to shop, pay car note Chanderrica Palmer (SCSO) On July 28 at midnight, officers say they responded to an aggravated assault call at Whitney Elementary School in the 1200 block of Whitney Avenue. A male victim was found shot and bleeding "profusely", police say. The victim stated that he and a female friend, later identified as Chanderrica Palmer, were sitting inside his car when a man armed with a gun approached him, demanding he get out of the car. According to reports, after the victim got out of the car, he was shot in the back. The male suspect then reportedly left the scene in the victim's Ford Focus. The victim was taken to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. On September 12, the victim positively identified Palmer as the woman who lured him to the elementary school. On September 18, police say Palmer voluntarily arrived at the Violent Crime Unit to speak with investigators. Palmer admitted to setting the victim up to be carjacked and shot. Chanderrica Palmer is currently held in jail on a $1,502,500 bond. She is due back in court on Friday morning.
