JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) Police say they arrested a Jefferson City woman after a chase along Highway 54 that topped 100 mph. The woman was driving a black Lincoln near Missouri Boulevard and West McCarty Street when a community police aide tried to pull the vehicle over at about 12:40 p.m., the Jefferson City Police Department says in a news release. The chase continued through the city, crossing the Missouri River bridge and going north on highway 54. The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Callaway County Sheriff's Office joined the chase and spike strips disabled the vehicle. The woman was arrested on suspicion of failure to register a vehicle, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, first-degree property damage, driving without a license and fleeing a stop. Case information was not available in online court records Thursday morning. The post Jefferson City woman arrested after chase tops 100 mph appeared first on ABC17NEWS.
