INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department's violent crimes unit arrested multiple individuals after a detective's vehicle was shot on the east side on Sept. 11. According to a post on IMPD's social media, Ryan Davis and Kaleb Richardson were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the shooting. Two other individuals who were in jail for unrelated incidents, including K'Shaun James and a juvenile, were also served warrants in relation to the shooting. The post indicated that all four individuals were served warrants for attempted murder and criminal recklessness on Wednesday. Former police chaplain accused of raping young child hundreds of times, court docs reveal According to court documents filed in Marion County, officers were conducting surveillance on Davis when they saw Davis and three other individuals inside a Cadillac. Officials said that all four were wearing masks and holding semi-automatic handguns. At one point, the individuals in the Cadillac spotted detectives and eventually shot an SUV where detectives were. The documents said that the gunfire hit the SUV as well as a nearby house. After the shooting, law enforcement officials on the scene continued to follow the Cadillac and eventually used a grappler to stop the vehicle and detain the occupants. During a search of the Cadillac, police found four loaded Glock 22 .40 caliber handguns, with each located near where each of the four individuals were sitting inside the vehicle. As the homes were searched, police found two firearms, as well as marijuana, suspected cocaine and narcotics paraphernalia.
