(WGHP) — Spooky season is almost upon us, and the Piedmont Triad is gearing up for some big scares! Woods of Terror and Kersey Valley Spookywoods, the Piedmont Triad's biggest haunted attractions, are both set to kick off their season in September, while our newest haunt, Scream Dreams, will kick off in October. Here's a preview of what you can expect at the haunted attractions! Woods of Terror When can I go? Woods of Terror kicked off its season, fittingly, on Friday the 13th! Of September, that is. Through September, Wood of Terror will be open on Friday and Saturday nights, with a general admission price of $35. There are higher tier ticket options like fast pass and meet and greet available too. Starting the weekend of Oct. 5, it'll be open on Sundays, and ticket prices will go up to $40 on Fridays, $50 on Saturdays and $45 on Sundays. It will also be operating on Halloween, Oct. 31, as well as the first two weekends of November on Friday and Saturday. What's happening this year? New for 2024 is "Fungus Among Us" and "Necropolis." You can also enjoy "Bone Daddy’s Midway of Monstrosities" and the 80s sci-fi horror throwback "Hardwired" among other attractions being boasted for the 2024 season. Kersey Valley Spookywoods When can I go? Spookywoods will bring the scares starting Sept. 27, and the attraction will be open each Friday through Sunday starting the weekend of Oct. 4-6. It will also be open on Halloween, Oct. 31, and the following two days, Nov. 1 and 2. It's a special year this year — Spookywoods is celebrating its fortieth season of scares! Prices vary depending on the weekend, but general admission starts at $35 and increases based on add-ons or the date chosen to attend. What's happening this year? There are over 22 sets to experience on one ticket, so there's plenty to see at Spookywoods, including Club Spooky and ICONs. "Ashes Army," "No Vacancy" and "Norman's Nightmare" are among the sets that are new for the 2024 anniversary season! You can also visit a set inspired by the haunted Lydia's Bridge in Jamestown, a Mothman-inspired set and "Camp Crystal Lake!" Screams Dreams at Castle Boo When can I go? Screams Dreams, which was built in the basement of an abandoned furniture factory in Thomasville, boasts, "Scream Dreams turned this old building into a nightmare you could never imagine!" Their kick-off weekend for 2024 is Oct. 4 and 5! General admission starts at $33 and increases based on dates and add-ons selected. Scream Dreams will run every weekend of October and then Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 for the spooky day itself. What's happening this year? "Inside you will find over 50 rooms and hallways of terror, torture, and the lust of our team to make it all too real…" Scream Dreams writes on its website, boasting of clowns, hunters and demonic monsters to really kick up the frights. Make sure to check the attraction you want to visit's website to purchase tickets and make sure the date you want is available!
