BLUFFTON, Ind. (WANE) – The Bluffton Street Fair is back on it's third day of festivities, starting with the Industrial Parade, on Thursday. According to Street Fair Manager Nathan Stauffer, this event is the largest and oldest street fair in the State of Indiana, dating back to 1898. The street fair has missed years of festivities due to hard times such as the Great Depression and wars. The Industrial Parade showcases local businesses and political candidates as the floats go through downtown. The event begins at 6 p.m., however Stauffer said people start lining up in the early morning. "People put their chairs clear up here on Market Street and down Main Street as well so they can have that good spot and get ready for the parade," Stauffer said. The Bluffton Free Street Fair follows the parade in the following days with Wrestling at the Fair, a Diaper Derby and a talent show. The fair runs until Saturday.
