MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Boone Hall Fright Nights, the state’s largest multi-attraction haunted event, will open for the season on Saturday night. The event boasts the use of groundbreaking technology, special effects, and more than 140 live scare actors within three attractions on Boone Hall’s property. Haunted mazes for the 2024 year include “Ward 8,” where “terror lurks around every corner of the crumbling remains” of the forgotten asylum, and “Phobia,” which appears to include clowns with chainsaws, and the event’s haunted hayride, “Fall Out,” including a deep ride into the dark woods where you will “encounter the scorched earth and the evil lifeforms that remain.” "The challenge every year is to design attractions that take the event to the next level of frightful fun," said event manager Ryan Neal. “This year we've added more sets, more scares, more live actors, and more animatronics than we've ever featured before." The event is prone to selling out every night, so guests are encouraged to purchase their tickets early. There are two options for purchasing tickets to the haunted event. Visitors can buy a “ScreamPass” general admission combination (single admission to all three attractions) for $39.00 or the “VIP Faster to the Fear” pass for $70.00. This includes VIP security line and single expedited admission to all three attractions. Tickets must be purchased online as there will be no ticket sales on-site during the event. Parking is free. Boone Hall Fright Nights is located about a half mile north of Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant. The event will operate on select nights from late September through October.
