Cardinal, 39-19 For the record: A CVC crossover game doesn’t count toward league standings, but the winner of this game will get a slew of computer points toward playoff positioning. … Berkshire got another clutch performance from first-year starting QB Sam Barcikoski in a 17-15 win over Trinity. He threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns. Oliver Miller ran for 71 and caught a pair of passes. Roman Percic’s 25-yard field goal was the game-winner for the Badgers. … While Berkshire has used both the pass and the run in its offensive proficiency, Wickliffe relies heavily on the ground game. Logan Ruscin (296 yards), Ralph Jackson (290), Nunzio Zivnoska (284) and Jimmie Feaster (182) have combined for 11 rushing touchdowns. The Blue Devils have attempted only 23 passes through four games. … Berkshire’s run defense will be in the spotlight this week, with Wickliffe boasting such a good run game. On the flipside, if the Badgers get a lead, a comeback by run-oriented Wickliffe is that much more hard to accomplish.
