Vincent Carchietta-Imagn Images Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell is selling his home following concerns about his security and privacy. According to Crain’s Detroit Business, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell is planning on moving out of his Bloomfield Hills home amidst security concerns. The Campbell family put the house up for sale this week because the public found out where they live, and the family would like to live a more private, personal life. “It’s just that people figured out where we lived when we lost,” Campbell told Crain’s this week. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of Campbell’s personal life being disrupted by his celebrity status. A report from Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer noted that after the Lions’ loss* to the Dallas Cowboys in 2023, a bunch of contractors unexpectedly showed up to his house early in the morning. “Somehow, somebody gave his address out and sent a bunch of contractors to his house early in the morning to wake him up,” Glazer said. Campbell gave no comment to media after the incident. It’s a pretty sad state of the kind of world we’re living in when a football coach can’t live a safe and uninterrupted personal life simply because his team loses a game or two. It’s especially maddening that this sort of stuff happens to one of the most well-liked and successful coaches in franchise history. Unfortunately, that appears to be the dirty underbelly of celebrity status these days. Let’s hope the Campbells can find a little more privacy and peace of mind wherever they decide to live next. UPDATE: Per FOX 2 Detroit, harassment continued after the Lions’ loss to the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game, leading the Campbells to file a police report. Campbell’s family has already moved into a new home.
