Trenton’s trash problem goes far beyond city’s cleanup efforts (L.A. PARKER COLUMN)

Walk a 50-yard section of Beatty Street near S.Clinton Ave. and the most popular Trenton phrase surfaces.
How do people live like this? And the second most-recited complaint. How does the city allow people to live like this?
While city officials and employees have stood for photos and performed better than circus seals regarding an August city-wide cleanup, a walk or ride through many sections of Trenton underscores issues with trash.

Cardboard boxes, a wooden bed frame, plastic bottles, produce OMG thoughts.

Aside from the food containers, plastic bags, coffee cups, water bottles and other items pressed against this Beatty St. curb, the sidewalk area included a pile of bricks likely from a construction job, hub caps, a wooden bed frame, cardboard boxes, beer cans, etc.
Perhaps, city employees can collect this garbage during the great City-Wide Cleanup of 2025.
