Motorcyclist dies after highspeed crash in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- One person is dead after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday evening in Kansas City.
Police said around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a person driving a Ford F150 was making a left turn from northbound Blue Ridge Boulevard onto westbound 99th Street when they were hit by a motorcycle.

The Ford was hit by a motorcyclist driving south on Blue Ridge. Police said they were driving "at a very high rate of speed."
The driver of the motorcycle was ejected off the motorcycle and was declared dead at the scene, according to KCPD.
The driver and four children in the Ford were not injured in the crash.
