KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A police chase in Independence ended in a three-car crash on Interstate 70 Wednesday night. Independence police said they were sent to the sound of gunshots near 45th and Grace Avenue around 10 p.m. Wednesday. Man shot-and-killed outside of Kansas City gas station near 71 Highway When officers arrived at the scene, a car sped away from the scene. Officers said they tried to stop the person driving the car. The driver drove west on I-70 and was involved in a crash with two other cars. The driver ran from the scene of the crash and officers are still trying to locate them.
