Mostly clear skies and pleasant to begin our Thursday morning, as temperatures out-the-door will hold in the lower 60s and upper 50s, for most. Expect another bright sunrise and quiet start to the day. This afternoon will be hot, with bright sun and light winds...a quick rise in temperatures should have us pushing 90° by 4 p.m. Not a record high but close, 93° set back in 1940. Dew points will not be a huge factor today but they will begin to climb tonight and into Friday morning. More heat on the way for Friday and Saturday, both days likely reaching the lower 90s, along with higher humidity, marking a more summer feel. A slight storm chance will be reintroduced tomorrow but limited in coverage (10%). This is a sign that the pattern is slowly beginning to change. The pattern becomes even more unsettled by Sunday, marking our best rain chances in two weeks. Although it won't be enough to stunt the drought, it will temper the heat and could bring a few decent downpours to several counties. Look for more details on timing and amounts tomorrow and through the weekend.
