Clouds Finally Begin To Clear

Last of the Showers
Sunny Days Ahead
Warm and Dry Weekend
Discussion:
We’re in for one more day of scattered showers, mainly across the I-40 corridor and north into the mountains. Temps will warm to near 80 as the clouds begin to break this afternoon as the low continues to weaken and push out of the area. Since dew points will remain elevated and an isolated storm or two can’t be ruled out, but no severe weather is expected. Tonight, under clear skies, some patchy fog will develop with lows falling into the mid 60s.
High pressure builds in Friday leading to a beautiful weekend. Highs will warm into the low to mid 80s under sunny skies. Next week will start off dry and warm, with rain and storm chances increasing by late week.
Tropics Update:
Two areas in the Central Atlantic have a low chance of development (or redevelopment since one of these areas is the remnant of Gordon). Not a threat for the U.S. mainland.
NW Caribbean and SE Gulf of Mexico (Medium Chance)
Broad area of low pressure is expected to form late this weekend or early next week. Gradual development is possible.
