Update: Police take man who barricaded himself in North Syracuse home into custody

Update as of 8:30 p.m.: A man named Giovanni A Serrano, 34, was arrested after several hours, said North Syracuse Police Chief Chance Fieldson. The incident started when Serrano had a knife and was arguing with a woman, Fieldson said. He is being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center jail, Fieldson said.
