ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A missing woman who police say was last seen abandoning her car on Interstate 64 West in Albemarle County on Wednesday could be in danger. On Wednesday, Sept. 18, Virginia State Police issued a critically missing adult alert for 45-year-old Carrie Joy Moranville, who was last seen at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on I-64 westbound near milepost 113.9 in Albemarle County. According to police, Moranville abandoned her vehicle on the interstate. She is likely traveling on foot or hitchhiking. Social media post sparks fights, prompts lockdown at Caroline High School Her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety, according to police. Moranville, pictured below, is described as a white woman with brown hair and green eyes. She is said to be 5' tall and weigh about 185 pounds.
