ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – A man has plead guilty for the stabbing of his estranged wife and her 14-year-old child on Mitchell Street in February. On February 3, Rochester police responded to a home on Mitchell Street for a reported stabbing and found 34-year-old Shaughnessey Denson in critical condition and her injured 14-year-old daughter, both had been stabbed. Man accused of stabbing wife 20 times, daughter on Mitchell Street Both victims were transported to the hospital and survived. Shaughnessey will live the remainder of her life with injuries as a result of the assault. It was determined that Doyle Rucker, age 35, claimed to be at the home to visit his children when he pulled out a knife, stabbing Shaughnessey and her daughter who intervened on the attack. Rucker has been found guilty of Attempted Murder in the second degree and Assault in the second degree. He will be sentenced to 30-years in the New York State Department of Corrections plus 8-years of post-release supervision.
