ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Baby Masai giraffe Pippi will be leaving Seneca Park Zoo next month to join another family, the Zoo announced in a Facebook post. Pippi was born on December 14, 2023, and has since grown into a healthy and energetic giraffe at the Seneca Park Zoo. Seneca Park Zoo reopens Savanna Building, allows visitors for Pippi The move is an AZA's Species Survival Plan recommendation to ensure long-term sustainability of giraffes. You can still visit Pippi before she leaves in October. The Zoo is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
