YOSEMITE, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - One of the entrances to Yosemite National Park temporarily closed on Wednesday ahead of forecast snow expected. Forecasters with the National Weather Service say accumulations of snow are expected above 9,000 feet, including the Yosemite National Park area, with two to five inches of snow anticipated. The forecast says snow is expected to fall from 2 p.m. on Wednesday to 8 p.m. on Thursday. Snow in Yosemite National Park as seen in March 2024 Ahead of the forecast snow, Yosemite National Park announced that Tioga Road, the continuation of Highway 120 through the park, temporarily closed at noon on Wednesday. A reopening date has not been announced, but park officials say they will evaluate the road again on Thursday morning.
