Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside and Orange counties announced resource centers to help residents affected by wildfires that tore through Southern California this month. For residents impacted by the Bridge and Line fires, officials in L.A. and San Bernardino counties will offer multiple joint resource centers offering services including information and assistance with insurance claims, property clean-up strategies and replacements for vital records. The centers can also help residents navigate the repair and rebuilding process and learn about available help from local and state agencies and nonprofits, according to county officials. The locations and dates include: Friday, Sept. 20, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the L.A. County Fairplex at 1101 W. McKinley Ave. in Pomona. Enter Gate 3 in Expo Hall 8. Saturday, Sept. 21, and Monday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino at 5500 University Parkway Residents visiting the centers should bring any documentation they have that shows the impact the fires have had on their property. For additional help, L.A. County residents can visit recovery.lacounty.gov/bridgefire and San Bernardino County residents can visit prepare.sbcounty.gov Residents can also call the toll free 24-hour 211 line for information and referral services. Riverside County residents affected by the Airport fire can go to a Local Assistance Center Thursday, Sept. 19, and Friday, Sept. 20, from noon to 9 p.m. or on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center will be held at Lake Community Center at 310 W. Graham Ave. in Lake Elsinore. Residents can also access more information at RivCoReady.org/Recovery Orange County officials will run a Local Assistance Center for residents impacted by the Airport fire at the Saddleback College Student Services Center, 28000 Marguerite Parkway in Mission Viejo, on the second floor lounge. The center will be open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 and Friday Sept. 20, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday Sept. 21. Visitors can park for free in lots 5, 5A and 9. On-site language assistance will be available in Spanish, Vietnamese and Farsi.
