Multitractortrailer crash on I95 South caused closures, delays in Hanover

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 southbound caused several lane closures and miles of delays in Hanover on Wednesday afternoon.
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) released information at 1:39 p.m. about a crash involving multiple tractor-trailers on I-95 southbound near Route 656 that caused all southbound travel lanes, the north left shoulder and two left travel lanes to close.
There were six miles of delays and traffic was diverted at Exit 89.
VDOT reported as of 4:06 p.m. that all lanes are now open, but motorists can expect residual delays.
