HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Hanover County Sheriff's Office will be hosting an information session on how to prepare for an active shooter event in October. According to the Sheriff's Office, deputies will teach participants what they need to know to be prepared to respond in the event of a shooting and Hanover County Fire and EMS personnel will perform a demonstration on how to control traumatic bleeding. The session will take place at the Hanover County Administration Building, located at 7516 County Complex Road, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 22.
