Now there’s something we haven’t seen in a long time – a cloudy day! It made for some seasonably cooler temperatures across the area today (low 70s.) Fortunately for our lawns and gardens, perhaps unfortunately for our moods, rain also returns to the forecast overnight and into Thursday morning. It starts out at the Cape and gradually works inland from east to west, eventually enveloping the entire area. It will also turn a bit breezy as well. It will by no means be a beach day, but if you are a surfer or swimmer there is a high risk of rip currents at the beaches Thursday. Showers will lighten but continue into Friday. We will wind up with two-day totals in the 1-1.5″ range for most of our area. Out towards the Cape, we could see as much as 2.5″. After a cloudy start with a few widely scattered showers, skies will slowly brighten by later Saturday and into Sunday. We will be left with cooler temperatures as well, in the upper 60s – fitting for the first day of fall, which is Sunday. The equinox occurs at 8:43 AM! Categories: News, Weather Forecast
