Stillwater Police Lieutenant T.J Low said they've responded to 122 car burglaries since January. "43 of those have had their windows busted out and stuff taken from inside," said Low. Low said 19 guns have been stolen from vehicles this year and so far only five have been found. "It's just anything they can get their hands on," said Low. Low said car break-ins have happened throughout the city and if you see something, say something. "Just don't leave any valuables in your car that you don't want taken. Call 911 if you see something suspicious around," said Low. Stillwater Police said now that college is back in session, a lot of the recent break-ins have happened at apartment complexes.
