ISLE OF WIGHT, Va. (WAVY) -- Isle of Wight Fire Rescue responded to two mobile home fires in less than 24 hours, officials said. The first mobile home was reported on fire just before 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 7400 block of Peanut Drive in the Windor Fire District. Firefighters arrived to find the double wide mobile home fully engulfed in flames. It took crews around one hour to bring it under control. The cause is under investigation. Courtesy: Isle of Wight Fire Rescue The Windsor Volunteer Fire Department, Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department, Rushmere Volunteer Fire Department, Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad, Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad and Isle of Wight Fire Rescue were among those responders. The second fire occurred around 5:30 a.m. in the 10,000 block of Mill Swamp Road in the Smithfield Fire District. Another mobile home -- this one single wide -- was fully engulfed in flames. Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department, Rushmere Volunteer Fire Department, Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, and Isle of Wight Fire Rescue responded and isolated the fire to the mobile home. The cause was determined to be accidental. Luckily, no injuries were reported in either incident.
