Pearl River man indicted in connection with father's fatal shooting

PEARL RIVER, La. (WGNO) — A Pearl River man has been indicted on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of his father.
Jefferson Parish deputies investigate fatal deputy-involved shooting in Marrero
On May 26, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office reported that deputies began investigating a "suspicious death" in the 67000 block of Slaughter Drive, where 74-year-old Douglas LaFrance was found dead on his front porch.
The death was ruled as a homicide after an autopsy was performed by the St. Tammany Parish coroner.

On June 5, STPSO deputies arrested 53-year-old Vincent LaFrance in connection with the investigation.
On Wednesday, Sept. 18, the Office of District Attorney Collin Sims reported that a St. Tammany Parish grand jury indicted Vincent LaFrance on a charge of second-degree murder.
