Bogalusa man indicted in connection with July murder investigation

WASHINGTON PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A Bogalusa man was indicted on Tuesday, Sept. 17, in connection with a murder investigation that began on July 5.
Pearl River man indicted in connection with father’s fatal shooting
According to information from the office of District Attorney Collin Sims 35-year-old Clois Blackledge is accused of fatally shooting 62-year-old Lark Starnes, who, according to the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office, was found dead behind his home on South Choctaw Road near Bogalusa.

Blackledge was initially a person of interest in the investigation but was arrested and charged with murder and obstruction of justice on July 6. His arrest followed a search that ended at the intersection of Highway 21 and Mitchell Road, south of Bogalusa.
Blackledge was indicted by a Washington Parish grand jury on one count of second degree murder.
